- In contemporary Africa where interdependence among the religions and peoples sink ever more deeply, peaceful coexistence requires that the religions engage themselves in dialogue and think dialogically. Dialogue in this sense will be a theological metaphor not only about certain basic christological resonance in African belief and praxis, but also about a model for understanding other religions, which are God's gifts to humanity. Dialogue based on social justice and peace is the key to integral human development in Africa. Affirming each other's common values may grant us the privilege of listening to our neighbors' stories, entering into their world, and thinking the way they think for mutual transformation to take place.
