Abstracto

The purpose of this project is to implement a strategy of discipling emerging leaders at the First Baptist Church in Anson, Texas, using methods that are culturally sensitive but remain biblically uncompromising. The methods used include biblical teaching, mentoring, and small group community. The goals of the project are presented and their use for evaluating the project set forth. Paul's Epistle to the Colossians is used as the main curriculum as viewed in light of writings in postmodernism, ecclesiology, Christology, discipleship, and leadership development. Impementation of the project for training senior leaders and mentoring emerging leaders is surveyed and then evaluated. Plans for next stage development of the project are considered.
