Abstracto

This is a ten-year follow-up study of seventeen church growth consultations conducted by Rev. Bill Easum in churches of the Central Pennsylvania Conference United Methodist Church. Churches were measured against a standard of vitality derived from the classical and reformation 'marks' of the church as well as evidence of the work of the Holy Spirit. Study results showed that Easum's strategies assisted congregations in uniting around a core mission and encouraged pastors to boldly preach the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Churches grew when these factors were present in a year-round guest friendly ministry with adequate parking.
