- Abstract
- This project proposes that elders of local congregations of the Presbyterian Church (USA) be permitted to serve the Lord's Supper to shut-ins who are unable to come to the table in a congregational assembly. Elders of the Bee Ridge Presbyterian Church address an overture to the General Assembly asking for an amendment to the Book of Order to make such service by ordained elders possible without the presence of clergy.
