  • The goal of this project is to advance thinking about leadership at the boundaries of faith and health. Gunderson speaks of this as boundary leadership, which requires the capacity to 'think, lead, and hope at the level of the whole system.' Yet if a boundary leader sees the whole and its many parts, it is also critical -- and this is the key claim of the author -- to perceive him or herself as one of those parts. An exploration is conducted of the leadership context as well as methods of preparing leaders capable of engaging in the transformation of self and community.
