Abstrait

The cultural context of today's American religious community is one of rapid and diverse change. The local congregation, which once enjoyed a position of social, moral and ethical influence upon quotidian societal decision-making, has become a marginal (peripheral) and often an ignored participant. In what appears as an oscillating wave of interest/disinterest, the greatest challenge for the church today has become the ability to recognize these changes and to respond missionally as the people of God. The following study/project is an adventure in missional responses to peripheral living.
