Abstracto

The purpose of the project was to equip the deacons of First Baptist Church, Benton, Tennessee, in grief management skills through the development and implementation of three equipping methods. An initial deacon's retreat provided an opportunity for the deacons to renew their spiritual life and knowledge of the office of deacon. Following research and consultation with an expert in the academic realm, the project director developed and led four teaching sessions. A second deacons' retreat occurred in which the project director guided the deacons of First Baptist Church, Benton, Tennessee, through grief management.
