  • The purpose of this study is to identify and to use theological reflection as a method of leadership development in a Presbyterian session and its committees. The study presents a definition of theological reflection, a brief history of the theological reflection process and its theoretical framework and several applications in specific programs. Out of them, fifteen theological reflection instruments are developed for use in a session meeting. The instruments are used and tested in the sessions of five Presbyterian churches of the Presbytery of Philadelphia, Presbyterian Church (USA). The resulting data and its interpretation are reported in this study.
