  • The thesis of the project is that an assumption of a remedial function in the human organism, its definition, operation and use in pastoral counseling might further the search in determining the cure of mental and emotional disorders. The method of the study was to investigate several schools of therapy, theological constructs, and biblical accounts of Jesus' healing ministry to determine if these sources made use of a remedial function. The results showed concurrence with the thesis and implications for a new context in pastoral counseling.
