The purpose of this project was to develop a community needs assessment of the critical needs of foster care and adoptable children in Garland County, Arkansas, for Hot Springs Baptist Church. The project director gathered data from local and state agencies and organizations related tot he crisis of foster care and adoptable children in Arkansas and Garland County, Arkansas, in order to assess critical needs. The project director performed careful research through interviews, the use of resources online, and other avenues to discover the existing resources and programs related to the crisis of foster care and adoptable children in Arkansas and Garland County, Arkansas. The final stage of this project was the development and presentation of specific recommendations to the pastor of Hot Springs Baptist Church for the development of a foster care and adoption ministry to meet critical need.
