Abstract
  • The author hypothesized that labor unions offer a context for ministry for which Master of Divinity students are unprepared. The author developed a test questionnaire about organized labor as a context for ministry, tested a random group of Wesley Theological Seminary MDiv students, then designed and presented a workshop about this subject area to another group of Wesley MDiv students. The participants, who were tested after the workshop, scored higher than the control group. The author concluded that a workshop for MDiv students on labor unions as a context for ministry can increase knowledge about opportunities for ministry to organized labor.
