- Abstract
- The church needs leaders who are biblically sound and culturally relevant. It needs leaders who recognize God's calling and can effectively implement that calling in today's church. This project presents a practical elder leadership model developed and implemented by Olathe Bible Church in shepherding its congregation. The model was derived from biblical investigation and case studies of large, multi-staff, elder-led churches. The scriptural findings and case research were applied to create a relevant, practical, visual model of shepherding leadership for use in elder-led churches. To enhance the elder's governance, a complementary pastoral leadership model is also presented.
