Abstrakt

The church needs leaders who are biblically sound and culturally relevant. It needs leaders who recognize God's calling and can effectively implement that calling in today's church. This project presents a practical elder leadership model developed and implemented by Olathe Bible Church in shepherding its congregation. The model was derived from biblical investigation and case studies of large, multi-staff, elder-led churches. The scriptural findings and case research were applied to create a relevant, practical, visual model of shepherding leadership for use in elder-led churches. To enhance the elder's governance, a complementary pastoral leadership model is also presented.
