The purpose of this project was to equip selected members of Simpson Baptist Church, Simpson, Louisiana, to care successfully for people who suffer from depression. The project director examined research on depression and depression care skills. The project director studied instructional theory and practice. The project director utilized this research to develop a curriculum to train selected members of Simpson Baptist Church with depression care skills. The project culminated with the project director utilizing the developed curriculum to equip the selected group in a workshop consisting of five 11/2-hour sessions.
