- Abstract
- 'Creating a lateral learning environment to enhance understanding, conversation, and relationship between selected incumbent and emerging leaders in the Phoenix metroplex' was the project. This project evolved because I have seen the collateral damage that has occurred between incumbent and emerging leaders. It is based upon the research completed by Ron Carcucci in Leadership divided: what emerging leaders need and what might be missing.I brought together a selected group of incumbent and emerging leaders to see how the relationship gap that separates them could be reduced. I invited them to join me for an eight-session learning experience. The project was successful as each participant determined one or more changes that they were willing to make to help reduce the relationship gap between themselves and their opposite leaders.
