  • This project deals with effects of prime-time television on a viewer's values and theology. A television show conveys identifiable value and theological messages. These messages, though often subliminal, reinforce values about what is 'good' and what is 'bad', as well as what and who are important. Although we are taught in school to be literate readers, we are never really taught television literacy. This project can help teachers conduct a class in critical viewing skills by presenting information about the values and theology presented on television and by providing additional tools and exercises.
