Abstracto

The Model in Ministry addressed the needs of the multicultural congregation at Plaza United Methodist Church. The hypothesis was that the preaching moment as therapy would meet the needs of West Africans. A focus group was designed and implemented to achieve goals for this Model in Ministry. Results of the Model in Ministry indicated significant change in variables. Moreover, the preaching moment met the needs of the multicultural church by creating an environment for guidance, assurance, and sustaining collective acceptance among the congregants. The desired outcome was that increased needs were met through the preaching moment.
