  • The primary goal of this project is to overcome anti-immigrant sentiments toward foreign migrant workers in Korea through studying the spirit of hospitality in the Bible. Discrimination against and maltreatment of Southeastern migrant workers in Korea have been serious social problems. This project researched the essential characteristics of the spirit of hospitality in the Bible through examining the Israelite as the 'ger,' the hospitality of Abraham and the maltreatment of Sodom, the hospitality of Jesus, and the hospitality of Paul. The author confirmed that hospitable sentiments and attitudes of church members have increased after the seminars on hospitality.
