Abstrait

This project intends to facilitate incorporation of the Roman Catholic spiritual renewal movement, Cursillo de Cristianidad, into the Presbyterian church. This project has four parts: a critique of the history, theology, and education methodology of Cursillo; a narrative of the Cursillo retreat; a manual, in the reformed tradition, for conducting the retreat among Presbyterians; and an evaluation by Episcopal and Presbyterian clergy. Research included Roman Catholic and Episcopal Cursillo literature, participation in an Episcopal Cursillo retreat, and service as clergy staff at eight Presbyterian Cursillo retreats conducted under the auspices of Charleston-Atlantic Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
