This thesis is a study of the diaconia church model as a new ministerial paradigm for the Korean church in Germany. This is intended to help churches and church members grow through pastoral transformation towards diaconial ministry through listening to a series of sermons and participation in social service activities. The dissertation is made up of a theological part and a pastoral practical part. In the theological part, I will explore the biblical understanding of diaconia and modern theological understanding. In the practical part, I would like to suggest and practice diaconia ministry by renewing all areas of ministry. In other words, I want to transform the essential practices of church community: kerygma (sermon), liturgia (liturgy), didache (Christian education), koinonia (felloship), and diaconia (social services).
