Abstracto

Preaching on contentious issues is a difficult undertaking for all involved. This project focuses on one White pastor's Lenten preaching series against White racism with a White Presbyterian PC(USA) congregation. The purpose was to cause transformation within the congregation resulting in observable changes toward undoing racism. An analysis of the pastor's intentions, relationship with the congregation, the method and design of the series with a sample sermon, critiques of the other sermons, and a summary of responses and recommendations for further preaching is included.
