  • This study searches for ways to improve congregational communication. It seeks help from communications theorists and God's word of reconciliation. Theorists offer communication skills and the view of human nature these skills presuppose. The Word provides a key to completing the definition of human nature and a solution to the dilemma of people alienated from God and from each other. The thesis states that the collective witness of Christians will be more understandable, relevant and persuasive when the above contributions are used. Communication of church leaders trained in workshops using these insights has demonstrated some increased effectiveness.
