- Bishop Lancelot Andrewes had a profound impact on early Anglican theology and piety. His Preces privatae quotidianae (Daily Private Devotions) has nurtured the prayer lives of generations of Christians. Its rich use of scripture, patristic material, and early liturgical material also makes it a wonderful text from which to teach classes on prayer within the local church. This project involved translating the Preces privatae quotidianae and developing a series of classes around it, which were taught in two Washington congregations.
