Abstract
  • This project develops a model for a prayer revival that could undergird evangelistic ministry of local churches, implementing the model at First Baptist Church, Port Allen, Louisiana. Based on research in biblical, historical, and contemporary works on prayer and on interviews with experts in the fields of prayer and church growth, the project presents nine messages on prayer to be preached in a four-day revival format. Evaluation notes significant increase in knowledge and activity of prayer among members of the church in relation to the evangelistic ministry of the church.
