  • This paper summarizes the theological perspective of seventeen clergywomen who engaged in peer theological reflection about the call and practice of ministry. They presented and discussed case studies, thereby providing numerous examples for understanding the centrality of relationship in women's ministry. The author's theoretical perspective includes a relational understanding about human growth and ministry. Participants expressed a dilemma of choice between themselves and their communities of ministry. Mutual ministry offers a resolution, and includes becoming empowered and empowering others together. Mutual/personal ministry is grounded in God through the Holy Spirit's work and Jesus Christ's prophetic ministry.
