  • This project proposes a model of care for women in Ebenezer African Methodist Episcopal Church (Fort Washington, Md) that addresses issues of depression among African American women. In this model of self-exploration, women work together in small groups, guided by ministers, counselors, and lay leaders, to examine their 'habits of surviving' and the 'scars and strengths' of their life journeys as black women.
