Abstrato
  • A questionnaire survey approach showed that no significant pastoral leadership style was more favorably associated with church growth in a changing community than the pastor's ability to allow the laity to have the main responsibility in the leadership of the church programs. Clergy respondents prefer a leadership style of people orientation. In transitional communities, church growth is correlated with population changes and church programming. Growth also is associated with the church's success in attracting and integrating the newcomers who are 'different from' the existing church members.
