Abstract
  • This dissertation is mainly concerned with the chaplain's role in helping individuals/families change their characteristic ways of responding to life's situations. Chaplains need to recognize that families are the most crisis-oriented institutions in our society. People are more likely to be experiencing problems and crises in their families than on city streets. We must recognize that a truly sanctified marriage is one without fear, crisis or even violence; it is one in which members do not worry about their welfare or their lives.
