- This study was undertaken to examine and assess the needs of the spouse and children of clergy pertaining to the ministerial appointment and relocation process. Current needs and practices within the Baltimore and Peninsula Annual Conferences (Washington area) of the United Methodist Church are investigated. The investigative research for the study was obtained through the use of field interviews and two direct mail surveys. The field research survey questionnaires were mailed to clergy and their spouses who had relocated with the Baltimore and Peninisula Conferences within a four year period. Findings are presented and evaluated. Recommendations are made.
