Abstracto

Churches need a solid foundation for evangelistic ministry. Confusion concerning conversion propagates ineffective evangelism. Two phenomena, the baptism of professing Christians and the decreasing age of children being baptized, highlight the problem. A theological, historical, and biblical study of conversion was planned, implemented and evaluated. The writer concluded that a better understanding of conversion and the history of evangelism will provide a foundation for effective evangelism.
