  • This project focused on discovering the degree to which Friends superintendents, educators, and pastors believe in the existence of a uniquely Quaker paradigm of pastoral ministry and which traditional activities of the pastor are performed in a uniquely Quaker manner by pastors within the Society of Friends. Two questionnaires were employed and the results indicated a fairly high degree of belief in a uniquely Quaker paradigm of pastoral ministry. The project also revealed a number of pastoral activities Friends perform in a manner that is unique to the Society of Friends and growing out of roots in Quaker ecclesiology.
