- A series of art therapy exercises were designed by the author to aid in the healing of grief. Each exercise was based on one of the tasks of mourning that Wm Worden discussed in his book, Grief Counseling and Grief Therapy. These exercises were used in a group setting consisting of six single adult women. Two were widows, three were divorced and one had lost a brother to AIDS. It was concluded that art therapy exercises can facilitate healing in a group setting and provide focus for the group exercise.
