Abstract
  • This project was designed as a tool to investigate the relationship between expository preaching and the spiritual growth of those who heard this proclamation. The methodology used to achieve this was a pretest survey, a four-sermon series, and a post test survey. The findings of this project confirmed that there is a definite relationship between expository preaching and spiritual growth. Conclusions that were drawn consist of the following: 1) Expository preaching is a catalyst for spiritual growth; 2) Expository preaching is a means, not an end to spiritual growth.
