Abstract
  • This project investigates and analyzes a community of four ethnically and culturally different congregations as they attempt to develop connectedness and commonality in Christ through shared celebrations of the Lord's supper and organization of a multicongregational council. The project employs study of the factionalism and reconciliation surrounding eucharistic celebration at Corinth (1 Cor 11), ritual and symbol as means of cultural transformation, and sharing of sacred space to enhance expression of Christian unity while maintaining and respecting cultural diversity.
