Abstracto

An intentional mentor program can be applied concurrently with students enrolled in formal training institutions to further enhance the development of ministry skills and deepen spirituality. Administered by a denomination, the process helps clarify the group's agenda and thrust, further tightening loyalty to the association of churches. The foundational basis for the mentoring is drawn from Scripture as well as related literature. An approach is drawn and a mentor agenda is suggested with themes drawn from a survey of ministers as to which topics need emphasizing and suitable for mentoring moments. The work was applied to a group of students for a term and feedback drawn included better grasp of classroom material, a clearer understanding of the ministry and what it entails and some personal responsibilities that the learner needs to pay close attention to strengthen his grip to the tasks before him.
