Abstract
  • The goal of this study was to assess the effectiveness of a mentored education program called R2E as a model that could be adapted to train church planters for France. The research used a mixed methods design. The findings supported the following conclusions. The R2E program was successful in attaining its development goal. Yet, theological educators did not perceive mentored education programs like R2E as a possible alternative to formal theological training for evangelists or church planters. Mentored education was seen as supplemental but not substitutional for existing ministry training programs.
