Abstract
  • The problem addressed in this project is whether or not a seminar to educate religious professionals about codependency will help them identify ways they act codependently in their ministry. Both quantitative and qualitative data were derived from a six-session (15 hour) seminar with eight religious professionals, half ordained and half not. The first three sessions taught a thorough concept of codependency and integrated it with psychodynamics and theology. The last three sessions provided a process to look for evidences of codependency in personal ministry activities. The data showed the seminar to be effective.
