- Abstract
- The purpose of this project was to equip junior high students at Calvary Baptist Church, Slidell, Louisiana, with interpersonal relationship skills. Research was conducted regarding the psychological development of teenagers and how their development relates to interpersonal relationship skills. Current research in books, journals, and online resources were used for further study of interpersonal relationship skills. Several high school counselors were interviewed to find out how these skills impact students in schools. Students were equipped through eight lessons covering one's relationship with Jesus Christ, communication barriers, attitude, forgiveness, reflective listening and responding, assertiveness, conflict management, and a review and wrap up session.
