  • This study deals with the question, 'How do Christians confront authority problems in searching for truth?' Using two composite case-histories from overseas and domestic ministries, together with classes and readings as background, the study discovers the necessity for a genuine sense of self and a perspective of subjective and objective truth in all relationships. It is essential to see and understand one's own personhood within any system, such as a family, a congregation, or even a school of thought. Healthy relationships contain a sense of personal authority--the spirit within people that is the spirit to which God relates.
