The purpose of the ministry project was to develop a long-range plan for ministry which reflected the church's understanding of its mission and purpose. Research was conducted in the biblical and theological mission of the church. Ministry priorities were developed, ministry goals were established, and ministry action plans were adopted. The conclusion reached was a new focus on worship, evangelism, education, missions, and ministry through the programs of the church. Long-range planning revitalized the church's understanding of its mission and purpose as the people of God.
