Abstrait

The purpose of this project is twofold. The writer will assist non-Christians, who have experienced cross-cultural differences, to understand salvation and will equip Christians to conduct cross-cultural evangelism. Using successful examples of overcoming cultural differences as models, a selected cell group will be equipped with biblical and theological knowledge about cross-cultural evangelism so it can effectively communicate Christ cross-culturally. This project proposes a model for cross-cultural evangelism at Korean First Baptist Church of Waco, Texas based on a church cell group. First, the theological foundation for cross-cultural evangelism, which are found in the Bible, will be presented. Second, based on these biblical principles, a model cell group will be established. Third, this cell group will stimulate church growth using innovative methods of cross-cultural evangelism, which will include formal discipleship training. The meaning of the incarnation will be the basis for a philosophy of ministry to communicate the gospel cross-culturally. The incarnational principle of 'identification without loss of identity' is the operative model for cross-cultural evangelism in the project.
