- Abstract
- The project was based on a review of the current literature regarding 'power encounter', and its elements which it contains: miracles, evil spirits and deliverance. The project also researched the writings of the major Princeton theologians: Alexander, the Hodges, and Warfield, noting the many references they made to the elements of power encounter. The Princetonians wrote from a Reformed and exegetical perspective. The author concludes that the Princetonians offer much needed biblical counsel regarding power encounter. Miracles are not denied; but, miraculous gifts are refuted for the post-apostolic church upon biblical grounds. Great care must be taken in verifying alleged miracles. The Princetonians supply the church with valuable counsel in the whole verification process.
