- The author believed that worship was a place where children could develop positive core beliefs. The project had three phases: interviews which included drawing a picture of God and self, ten worship times developed for the student body, and a second set of interviews with a second picture. The findings, while not completely able to support the author's thesis since the project was subjective, did reveal naturally curious children who were eager to explore God's presence in their lives. They worked hard at constructing their faith, which included core beliefs about God, self, others and the world.
