Abstrato
  • The central argument of this dissertation is that the church is called by God to be inclusive and that call is especially important in our heterogeneous society in which people are divided by their differences. The church is called to be an alternative community in which a common faith, love and mission unite diverse persons and groups. A case is made both for racial and social diversity and for a diversity of theological and ideological perspectives in the local church. Suggestions are also made for handling the practical problems caused by inclusiveness.
