Abstract
  • The main focus of this study is to find out what are some of the seminary learning experiences (formal curriculum, non-formal activities, and informal role model/mentoring) that have resulted in more effective service in cross-cultural mission. Various literatures are reviewed to gain deeper understanding on historical, biblical, missiological, cultural and educational perspectives. This qualitative research is conducted by using a descriptive, inductive research methodology and involved interviews of China Evangelical Seminary missionary alumni. The finding of this research reveals that formal mission education can be more effective when it is incorporated with non-formal activities and informal model learning.
