This project sought to use expository preaching to educate and exhort the people of First Baptist Church of Metropolis, Illinois, to follow the biblical principles of church discipline. Chapter 1 consists of the ministry context and overview of the project. Chapter 2 is an examination of eight biblical texts concerning church discipline. Chapter 3 consists of material from mostly secular sources dealing with communication theory and communication as it relates to bringing change to an organization. Chapter 4 is the execution of all the aspects of the project itself. Chapter 5 is an examination of the data obtained in chapter 4 and an evaluation of the project as a whole. It includes conclusions drawn from the data.
