- This study explored the spiritual vitality of indigenous missionaries associated with an Indian member care agency. The purpose was to confirm spiritual life factors enabling this population to thrive in their lives and ministry. In this concurrent mixed-methods study, 227 participants completed quantitative survey items and 32 participants responded to a qualitative interview schedule. Spiritual vitality, evidenced through qualitative findings, was summarized as an outcome of a personal relationship with the triune God that is evident through the Christ-like qualities of a missionary who is resilient in the face of hardship. Precedent research, discussion of findings, and recommendations are included.
