Abstrait

Employing an attempt to close the gap of non-Methodist teachings and doctrines, the author taught John Wesley's Holiness of heart & life by Charles Yrigoyen, Jr., with Study guide by Ruth A. Daugherty to Prospect United Methodist Church members. The concept of Wesley's 'holiness' was taught to inspire and to illuminate members as a means to stimulate a desire to become more Christ like believers. Utilizing the study, the writer offered historical accounts of primitive North America Methodist itinerant preachers, the church's movement into North Carolina, and the 'holiness revival' movement among Robeson County American Indians 'Lumbees' and their churches. The study was successful in demonstrating how the theme of 'holiness' would bring significant changes to the members of the church.
