Abstracto

The purpose of this project was to develop an equipping ministry system that enabled the discovery of the needs, gifts and talents of eighteen people at High Park Baptist Church in Toronto, leading each person to function in the gift that the Holy Spirit has granted. This purpose was achieved by developing three key phases of: preparation, connecting and equipping. It was discovered that most of the participants were unaware of their spiritual gift(s) prior to the spiritual gift knowledge assessment; that people will serve if asked and if they believe that they are making a unique contribution to a well-organized effort based on their giftedness and passion; that church ministry functions at its optimal level when people work in teams; and that rediscovering the Biblical basis for gift-based ministry can bring about a renewal and reformation in the church.
