  • This is a handbook for a course of Introduction to Basic Tenets of Thai Buddhism for Christian ministerial students in the Southern Baptist Convention's seminaries. This study evaluates the Ten Basic Tenets of Thai Buddhism (Gotama Buddha, Dhamma, Sangha, Dukkha, Samuddhadai, Niroddha, Magga, Sila, Vipassana and Panya) from a conservative Christian perspective. It also offers a new paradigm to create an interfaith dialogue between Christians and Buddhists. The major Christian theological basis in this study comes from The Baptist Faith and Messages 1963 with many reflections from the Reformed Confessions plus some insights from Roman Catholic theologians.
